Join the Team - Volunteer at the TreeZoo!

The Friends of the Deerfield Beach Arboretum (aka "Tree Zoo")is seeking volunteers to perform various tasks in the Arboretum and at the soon to be built, Landis Nursery. Needed are those individuals who enjoy working with various species of Palms, tropical fruit trees, subtropical flowering and canopy trees, wetlands horticulture, butterfly garden flora, herb and spice gardens or helping create a "Children's Garden." There are needs for both the professional and the willing amateur help in the fields of planting, pruning, grafting/layering, irrigation, mulching, weeding, fertilizing and design.

Volunteers will be involved in all phases of development and maintenance of the arboretum. Volunteers after ten hours services will be given an "Arboretum Volunteer" T-shirt.

The success of this new educational facility will be determined by the amount of effort afforded by its volunteers.
